Wheelin’ & Dealin’ at Staples & Sams

by Honey Rowland Leave a Comment

Wanted to share that Staples has a 15% off your entire order, reams of colored paper with a mail in that in the end comes to only 3.00 for a big ol’ ream of it, and also for some reason lots of Christmas cupcake packages.  I was excited by the coupon, the paper & the 4 more things of black I bought & a bit freaked out by the cupcake mixes…something’s just not right there.

I also wanted to remind all the teachers; be ye a public or home or private, that if everyone contacts Staples school programs they might have the free lamination for teachers this year.  I called to see if they’d have it since last year only a handful participated.  I was given the number 877-567-5287 to contact to ask if they’d have it again.  If everyone called I’m sure they’d implement it again.  AND, remember…if you eat dinner you should at least dry the dishes.  In other words…don’t be someone who only uses.  Purchase items so they keep doing things like this.

Some Staples hints…If you pop to the ends of the aisles you’ll find great clearance stuff.  I use to find tons of stuff for the kids: crayola toddler crayons, space erasers (used for manipulatives), clips, pins, pencils, stickers, notepads & binders.  I’ve even found containers that were still available but they’d redesigned the packaging & were 75% off.

Also, they recently (might still have) the Avery heavy duty binders were free with your reward.  I bought the big ol’ expensive 20.00 ones ’cause they were free after the rebate.  There is a limit of 5 per family/household.  So they were awesome for all of Karen Tyler’s albums I’m putting together.

Oh…& Sam’s club has heavy duty page protectors 200 to a box for only 10.00!  That’s a quarter of Staples price (sorry guys) but when you’ve all that I’ve printed out to protect you have to go bulk! 🙂

About Honey Rowland

Organic since it was a dirty hippie word is an easy way to understand me. With 3 kiddos (7, 14, and 16) and one bearded hubby I raise chickens, ducks, turkeys, goats, rabbits and Great Pyrenees livestock guardians on our organically ran mini farm in Ohio. A bull calf and heritage breed pigs have recently been added, along with an impending move into our less than 600 sq ft tiny home that's more and more off grid with each solar panel we buy.

Homeschooling, green living, self-sufficiency and natural parenting (but with yelling) is the norm here. Any skipping through the tulips tends to end with a face plant in chicken or duck poo but being a "glass half full" kind of gal I can smile 'cause the poo is organic and non-gmo!
