Shake it like it’s hot with #FlipBelt! Review

by Honey Rowland Leave a Comment

With the new year I decided to make my health a priority.

How #flipbelt is helping me loose weight and get my chores and work done more efficiently.

I’m having a migraine about every other day and I’m on medication for it.  I know my migraines are stress related so I’m working to make stress less of an issue.  Being overweight is a stresser for me.  The more I sit at the computer the more my pant size increases.  So, I decided I was going to start the Insanity program.  Yeah..I think I had a heart attack on that first day.  Did I make it through?  Uhmmmmm…does it count if you’ve blacked out and come to just before the dvd goes off?  😉  Ok…then no. 😉

Then I saw this Flip Belt.  I thought…ok…I need to be more active so I can get more active (I know which came first the chicken or the egg? 😉 ) and I think this would help get me moving a bit as I could listen to music that ISN’T kid appropriate but reminds me of being young, fun and in shape so I applied to do a review.  I received the flip belt, for free, a few days later.

Now, I chose the xl as I’m an 18.  I thought with all the skinny in shape folks they’d have a skinny xl…you know where small is xxxsmall and large is really small?  Yeah…nope.  It’s true to size if not a bit bigger.  If you’re a 16 you want to get a large or maybe a medium as there’s some major stretch to the xlarge and I’m not complaining about that either!

Now, what’s so nice about this is it holds stuff.  Wearing my yoga pants means I can’t put my phone in my pocket which means I can’t shake it like it’s hot (oh yeah…my kids laugh like I’m crazy to see me dancing around but…they’re happy. 😉 ).  But, with the stretchy holes in the flip belt HOLDS your phone (and other goodies like your key or money if you were out jogging) and has another hole so you can run your ear buds through.  You’re hands free people!!  Hello washing dishes and hanging laundry!

I’ve found it nice as I can use it while I attempt to do some exercise videos, while I’m cleaning house, feeding the animals, collecting eggs (no more do I have to pull earbuds out of a chicken!), checking on the goats or rabbits and when I’m simply working at the computer.  It’s really soft and doesn’t have that pokey polyester feel to it that stretchy stuff sometimes has.  It’s smooth.  And, as a tactile person the feel of something is really important to me.

They’ve a bunch of bright colors.  Pink (what I chose!), teal, green, black and a charcoal.  I’m planning on getting the other colors for Tyler & Rhea to wear while they’re working.  If they had a kiddo size I’d get one for Sunshine to wear here in the yard for this summer when she’s out doing her kiddo yoga.  Tyler said he’d wear it if it wasn’t pink.  After I had him try it out…he said he’d wear it even if it was pink. 😉

As no one needs to see my belly I’ll share their models 12 pack abs shot.  Oh and if you’re wondering if your phone will fit… I have a big ol honkin’ Samsung S5 AND it’s in an Otterbox Defender case.  That sucker fit in the wee hole and when the phone rings I can get it out before the 3rd ring but for simplicity sake I recommend you turn on voice commands.

I have to agree that Flip Belt’s mantra of “Run free. Train free. Feel free. Welcome to freedom.”  Really is spot on.

Here’s to your health and mine!

~Honey

About Honey Rowland

Organic since it was a dirty hippie word is an easy way to understand me. With 3 kiddos (7, 14, and 16) and one bearded hubby I raise chickens, ducks, turkeys, goats, rabbits and Great Pyrenees livestock guardians on our organically ran mini farm in Ohio. A bull calf and heritage breed pigs have recently been added, along with an impending move into our less than 600 sq ft tiny home that's more and more off grid with each solar panel we buy.

Homeschooling, green living, self-sufficiency and natural parenting (but with yelling) is the norm here. Any skipping through the tulips tends to end with a face plant in chicken or duck poo but being a "glass half full" kind of gal I can smile 'cause the poo is organic and non-gmo!
