Mamavation Bootcamp Vlog

In only about 18months I’ve put on over 100lbs.  I tip the scales at 249lbs and I’m 5’1″.  I’m obese because I parked my butt in front of the computer and haven’t been working much on our farm, gardening or playing with the kids.     In November, I joined Mamavation’s #2WeekChallenge where I lost almost 3lbs.  I’m continuing that connection with others too and I’m hoping to be chosen as a member of the Detox and Weightloss Bootcamp and I could use your help.  

I need you to hop over to my video on facebook, like it and comment on my video.  Be sure to tag Mamavation in the comment and say something like…”Honey’s totes McGoats amazeballs Mamavation!  She’d rock this bootcamp!”  or something especially awesome and inspiring. ;)

I’m making time for my family by making time for me

I know there are tons of other women out there like me.  We ignore ourselves because who has the time?  Well..who has the time for physical therapy because you’ve had a stroke or a heart attack?  I don’t.  So this year I’m making time for my family by making time for me and I hope you’ll join too.  Please, take a moment and comment on Facebook or Twitter and let Mamavation know I’ve support.

  1. I totally understand how easy it is to put on weight. I am a crocheter and spend most of my day sitting on my butt. Definitely need to get moving too. Thanks for the inspiration.

      Have you seen the little peddlers that look like a bike was cut off? I started out with it but it was so hard to type at the desk as it didn’t really fit beneath it and my knees were constantly being hit. But, if you’re sitting on the couch…fine! You could use that while crocheting and voila! you can have your cake and eat it too! ;)

  2. I’m cheerin’ you on girl! Hey! How about a challenge?!?!? Lets lose 21 lbs by the time we go to the 2:1 conference!! Yes??? Oh, I knew you would love that idea! Are you on the MyFitnessPal app?? Surely your social media loving self is tapped into that resource!!       Oh…YOU’RE ON!! How ’bout we up the anty?…Whoever looses the most has first dibs on snacks on the drive up and back! ;) As to skinnier…shoot…I just want to get my butt off my shins. Apparently at 36 your butt just melts down your legs. So not a pretty site. ;) I firmly believe it’s due to sitting on it for work so much! ;)

      And…you KNOW I’m on Fitness Pal. I’ll admit to being lazy about adding meals as something’s up and it keeps making me relog everytime I add something. ;) I’ve added breakfast today and I’m looking for you!

  3. Definitely guilty of not giving myself any “me time” around here! I think my workouts this winter have mostly included pulling kids around in sleds; I haven’t even made it to yoga at the library like I had hoped.
    As a mom it is so easy to be involved in everyone else’s needs. Wishing you the best on your goal!

      Thanks Christina! I really appreciate the encouragement! I saw we plan a local gal get together and head to Mexico for warm sandy beaches. Ahhhh…and without kids of course! ;) ~Honey

    I have a similar post today (somewhat similar anyway). I haven’t parked my butt in front of a computer, and I have been working out – but I have still gained weight. For me, it’s the stress and disappointments of life, you know? I’m totally an emotional eater. If you feel like it, I have started on a journey – a bit different than yours – but it’s still a journey.

    Thank you so much for being such a fantastic co-hostess. I think it’s hard for us moms, you know. To be doing so much – there is no time for ourselves. Well, it’s time to make the time!

    It’s great that you are trying to get fit! I really agree with what you say about needing to make time for yourself because the consequence of not doing so could be much worse! I’m starting to get back into working out myself and it’s been quite a challenge to work it into my schedule, but it’s definitely worth it.

      Thanks Yuliya! I’m working hard on it and I think of how the airlines say in case of an emergency put your own mask on first so you can then help those you love. I’m putting my own mask on first so I can help the one’s I love. :)
