I’ve compiled 88 AMAZING!!!!!! pages for the kid’s India Continent Boxes. I’ve everything…from tip top of the Himalayans (did you know they’re one of the young mountain ranges in the world? Anyone know what is the youngest? ) down to the teeny little Praying Mantis. There’s religion, homes, people, gender, transportation, politics, language, food (just a bit though), ecodiversity, blah, blah, blah. TONS of pictures so they’re good for the younger 3-6 set, lots of information good for the more detailed 6-9 Montessori researcher if you ask me! My husband said they’re good enough for adults…especially those of us who forget that yes, it does snow in India.
So! While those are being proof read I’ve a question… I plan on sharing the cards but I wondered what would be easier. A-1 huge download or B-sections to download. Oh, and each page has 2 3part cards…so that comes to 176 3 part cards. And you thought I was joking about the OCD….
But they are as complete as I could make them. If you have an idea of something that should be included in Continent/Culture cards let me know.
I also received my beads yesterday. They’re pretty awesome. I worked on them for about 2.5 hours and I got all of 1 (derh huh?) & 2 done. 4 is nearly done I’m still finishing up the cube. I think I’ve found some tricks that are making Montessori at Home‘s tut go a bit quicker in the making. If you’re interested I’ll share it tomorrow.
I’ve also found It’s pretty awesome ’cause I’m using the wire from my scrapbook stuff. I’ve taken the “Craft From My Stash” pledge & I’m not buying anything to craft with although I think you’re allowed to buy more if you’re FINISHING something. But, I used my red, green & yellow wire. I’m going out to Michaels & Hobby Lobby’s tomorrow to see about some copper wire. for the golden beads.
